a. Arteries are blood vessels responsible for carrying oxygen-rich blood away from the heart to the body. Veins are blood vessels that carry blood low in oxygen from the body back to the heart for reoxygenation.

b.Xylem is a vascular tissue that transports water and dissolved minerals absorbed from the roots to the rest of the plant. Phloem is a vascular tissue that transports soluble organic compounds prepared during photosynthesis from the green parts of the plant to the rest of the plant.

c.Urea, also known as carbamide, is an organic compound with chemical formula CO(NH2)2. This amide has two –NH2 groups joined by a carbonyl (C=O) functional group whereas Urine is a liquid by-product of metabolism in humans and in many animals. Urine flows from the kidneys through the ureters to the urinary bladder. Urination results in urine being excreted from the body through the urethra.

d.The heart pumps blood filled with oxygen through all parts of your body, including the kidneys. The kidneys clean the blood, removing waste products and extra water. Without the kidneys, your blood would have too much waste and water.

e. Red blood cells do not have a nucleus on maturity. WBCs are characterized by the presence of a large central nucleus. Due to the presence of haemoglobin, these cells appear red in colour. These cells are colourless, as they do not have any pigment.
