(2x - 4) {}^{2} = 64 \\ {(2x - 4)}^{2} = {8}^{2} \\ 2x - 4 = 8 \\ 2x = 8 + 4 \\ 2x = 12 \\ x = \frac{12}{2} \\ x = 6

Value of x is 6
