i. The Europeans wanted to find a trade route to India to trade because the ottoman Empire had blocked the land route.

ii. The English East India Company was incorporated by royal charter on December to establish trade routes with India, China, Persia and Indonesia.

iii. The commodities were silk, spices and jute.

iv. The First War  in India was caused mainly due to the War of the Austrian Succession due to the series of French victories over their English rivals in the south India. It was fought because of the conflict of imperialist interests between British and France and to curb the growing power of each other.

v. The British were gaining much more power in Murshidabad then the Nawab had expected and when the nawab ordered them to remove the trade, they refused, this increased the tensions between the nawab and the East-India Company

vi. The doctrine of lapse was a British property to annex the Indian kingdoms under this rule, an independent king who didn't have a Son would have to submit their areas to the British.

vii. The subsidiary alliance was another property of the British to annex the Indian kingdoms in this rule, British were given the rights to enjoy the taxes and the wealth collected from the Indian rulers, and they stored an army in the territories of the Indian rulers which the rulers had to pay all the expenses.

viii. They were at a disadvantage because the British were not caring about the welfare of the Indian citizens whereas the Zamindars were constantly exploiting the peasants to pay the taxes
