Lown width = 16 m

Path width sorounding the lown = 2 m from each side.

Dimension of the outline of the path can be calculated by adding the width of the path from both sides to lown's length and width.

∴ Outside length of the path = 30 + 2 + 2 = 34 m

∴ Outside width of the path = 16 + 2 + 2 = 20 m

Area of the path = Combined area of road & lown - Ara of the lown

As we know, area of the rectangle = Length × width

Area of the path = (Lenght × width) of outline of the path - (length × width) of lown

∴ Area of the path = (34 × 20) - (30 × 16)

∴ Area of the path = 680 - 480

∴ Area of the path = 200 m²
