please answer the question in the picture. the answer is given as option 2 but I can't understand why. I feel body undergoes positive accln at first and then negative accln

The reason is that if you look at the curve carefully, it is actually going in the negative direction of the displacement. Initially, the object was having a positive acceleration, but right now a certain force is acting in a direction opposite to its motion, which causes the slope of the curve to decrease over time. The Maxima on the curve shows that the body has now started motion towards the negative direction of the displacement axis.

The motion you were describing by this graph actually looks like the one I have attached.
