Solutions :- , Part 1

1) The sum of an interger and it's addictive inverse is always zero

Let consider the integer be x

Therefore, It's addictive inverse is -x

According to the question,

x + ( -x ) = x - x = 0

2)

The mean of first five multiples of 3 is 9

The first five multiples of 3 is 3,6,9,12,15

By using mean formula ,

Sum of observation / Total no. of observation

3 + 6 + 9 + 12 + 15 / 5 = 45 / 5 = 9

3) Measure of complement of an angle of 25° is 65°

Complementary angles are those angles whose sum is equal to 90°

One angle = 25°

Another angle = x

Therefore,

x + 25° = 90°

x = 90°

4) A median connects the vertex of the triangle to the mid point of the opposite side.

A median is a line segment that join the vertices to the midpoint of the opposite side of triangles.

5) The sum of x - y, 3x^2 - 4y and 3x - y + 6 is 3x^2 + 4x - 6y + 6

True or False :-

1) y^3 - 1 / y^3 + 8 is a polynomial.

( False)

A polynomials is an expression which consists variables and coefficients

But here, y^3 cancelled with y^3 and -1/8 is left which is not a polynomial.

2) The sum of angles of triangles is 180° . ( True)

Let consider the equilateral triangle whose all angles are 60° each

As we know that,

The sum of angles of triangles is 180°

60° + 60° + 60° = 180°

180° = 180°

LHS = RHS

3) Sum of two rational numbers is always a rational number. ( True)

Take two rational numbers 1/2 and 1/3

1/2 + 1/3 = 2 + 3 / 6 = 5/6

5/6 is a rational number.

4) Two circles have same circumference are congruent. ( True )

A circle which have equal diameter, circumstances or radius which overlap each other are considered congruent

5) A triangle may have two right angles.

( False )

As we know that,

Sum of angles of triangles is 180°

But if a triangle contain two right angles then it contradicts the fact. Hence, It is false .
