If x-a is a factor of P(x) then P(a) Must be 0, Here P(x) = 3x² - mx - na,

Now P(a) = 0,

=> 3a² - a(m+n) = 0,
=> 3a² = a(m+n), Divide both the sides with a,
=> 3a = (m+n),
=> a = (m+n)/3,

Therefore Hence Proved ! By the way, The Theorem I have used here is Remainder Theorem !

Hope you understand, Have a great day !
