1)salt, 3)sugar and 6)washing powder will dissolve.

And 1)sand , 4)chalk powder and. 5)saw dust will not dissolve because of there large atoms size so they cannot get trapped between the water molecules.

And also because of there weight.

And chalk powder and sand forms a suspension. which settles down after a while.
