      SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was announced on 15th August, 2014 by our Hon'ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. By this programme, the Government of India aims at "total sanitation" by 2019.

Moreover, the Government aims at making a washroom in every household by the end of the year, on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

This programme was started on 2nd October, 2014 and this is the reason our Hon'ble Prime Minister, wishes to end this successfully on 2nd October, 2019.

Our Prime Minister is not like the other ones, he believes that if we want our nation to change, first and foremost, we ourselves will have to change. Therefore, for the effectiveness of this programme, the Prime Minister himself has taken the initiative to run this act by sweeping a parking at Mandir Marg, and Valmiki Basti.

After this incidence, over 3 million government employees and students took the initiative to participate in it and make India clean. All have joined hands in making our India a clean place to live in. Considering the emergence of this programme, the Government launched it to pay a tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

This mission was launched for cleaning our country, it's not a single party issue, but a countrywide effect. Therefore, the cleansing of our country evokes it's emergence to all the citizens. This mission is beyond politics, beyond the state barriers. It's the duty of all the citizens to get the country cleaned and make it a better place to live in.

So, let's join our hands together and clean India to see a better tomorrow!
