Aerobic respiration

1)Takes place in presence of O2 .

2)Large amount of energy released .

3)38 ATP forms .

4)The by - products are CO2 and water .

Anaerobic mode of respiration :-/

1)Takes place in absence of O2 .

2)Less amount of energy released .

3)2ATP forms .

4)By products are C2H5OH and CO2 in yeast ,

and

C3H6O3 in muscle tissue of animals in absence of O2 .

ex :- Yeast , some bacteria , human cells ( in absence of O2) etc .
