AB and DE is prependicular to BC
So,AB is parallel to DE
BY THEOREM,IF a line is parallel to one side of. a triangle then it divides the other two sides in same ratio
so, AD/CD=BE/EC
adding 1 both sides
1+AD/CD=1+BE/CE
(CD+AD)/CD=(CE+BE)/CE
AC/CD=BC/CE
ABC ~DEC
AB/DE=AC/CD
6/4=15/CD
CD=15×2/3=10cm
ratio of areas =6²/4²=36/16=9/4

Anushka0504: :)
Anushka0504: Could you please tell me that how you took AB/DE=AC/CD?
Anushka0504: Please Do Then
Anushka0504: Oh Okay
Anushka0504: Thank You So Much
Anushka0504: thanks
