The stem conducts water and nutrient minerals from their site of absorption in the roots to the leaves by means of certain vascular tissues in the xylem..
inner layer of cell beneath endodermis are called pericycle, give passage of water and minerals from endodermis to protoxylem
so part c is responsible for water conduction
