if car A is travelling at the speed of 40 km/h and car B is travelling at the speed of 50 km /h and the distance between the two cars is 100 km..how much time will car B takes to overcome the Car A?

please answer this...its urgent

Δx = ViΔt + 1/2aΔt²

0.1 =50×Δt + 1/2×9.8×Δt²

0.1 =50Δt + 4.9Δt²

-4.9Δt² - 50Δt +0.1 =0

4.9Δt² + 50Δt - 0.1 =0

using quadartic formula you will get;

Δt=2      OR     Δt=-10.20

and time can not be negative

Explanation:

∴ it took 2 seconds for car B to overcome car A
