$\frac{y + 7}{3} = 1 + \frac{3y - 2}{5} \\ \\ = > \frac{y + 7}{3} - \frac{3y - 2}{5} = 1 \\ \\ = > \frac{5y + 35 - 9y - 6}{15} = 1 \\ \\ = > \frac{ - 4y + 29}{15} = 1 \\ \\ = > - 4y + 29 = 15 \\ \\ = > - 4y = 15 - 29 \\ \\ = > - 4y = - 14 \\ \\ = > y = \frac{ - 14}{ - 4} \\ \\ = > y = 3.5$
