a plant cell and an animal cell are quite similar in their structures. Some basic structure, such as nucleus,cytoplasm and cell membrane are common in plant cell as well as in animal cells.

• In plant cell, cell wall is present outside the plasma membrane while cell wall is absent in animal cell.

plastids are present in plant cell while it is absent in animal cell.

• In plant cell single, large central vacuole is present while in animal cell many and small vacuoles are present.

• centriole is absent in plant cell while it is present in animal cell .

• In plant cell nucleus is generally excentric in position while in animal cell it is generally centric in position.
