Answer:

1) C2H52OH + H2SO4(conc.)---> C2H4 + H20

2) C2H5OH + KMnO4(alkaline) ----> CH3COOH

3) CH3COOH + Na2CO3 -----> CH3COONa + CO2 + H20

Explanation:

1. Ethanol is reacted with concentrated sulphuric acid catalyst. In which OH- of alcohol reacts with H+ of the acid to give unsaturated ethene and water.

2. Ethanol is heated with alkaline Potttasium permanganate, (which is an oxidizing agent) gives Ethanoic acid or Acetic acid.

3. Ethanoic acid reacts with sodium carbonate to form Sodium acetate/ethanoate along with CO2 and water.
