Solution :-

a)♦ Triangle :

A simple closed figure bounded by three line segments is called a triangle.

  • A triangle has three sides, three angles and three vertices.
  • The parts of a triangle are 6 ,they are 3 sides and 3 angles.
  • The sum of the three interior angles in a triangle is 180°.
  • (50°, 60°, 70°)...
  • Triangles are classified according to their sides in three types .They are Equilateral, Isosceles and Scalene triangles.
  • In Equilateral triangle, all sides are equal and all angles are equal and each measures 60°.
  • In Isosceles triangle , Two sides are equal.
  • In an Isosceles triangle , the angles opposite to equal sides are equal.
  • In an Isosceles triangle, the sides opposite to equal angles are equal.
  • In Scalene triangle , No two sides are equal.
  • The traingle is classified into three types according to the measures of angles.
  • If one angle is 90° then it is a right angled triangle.
  • If all angles are acute then it is an acute angled triangle.
  • If one angle is obtuse then it is an obtuse angled triangle.
  • In a triangle, The side opposite to largest angle is longer.
  • In a triangle , The angle opposite to longer sides is larger.
  • In a triangle , the side opposite to smallest angle is shorter.
  • In a triangle , the angle opposite to shorter side is smaller.
  • In a triangle , The sum of any two sides is greater than the third side.
  • In a triangle, the difference between any two sides is less than the third side.
  • In a triangle , an exterior angle formed by extending any side of a triangle is equal to the sum of the opposite interior angles.

(b)

Median :

The line segment joining the mid point of any side to the opposite vertex is called the median of the triangle.

  • We can draw three medians to a traingle.
  • The concurrent point of medians is called the Centroid of the triangle.
  • The Centroid divides the median in the ratio of 2:1 .
