The height (or altitude) of an equilateral triangle divides the triangle in to two 30–60–90 right triangles. The sides of a 30–60–90 triangle are in the ratio of 1:3–√:21:3:2

Therefor, the short leg is 23–√23 cm and the hypotenuse (the side of the equilateral triangle) is 443–√3 cm.

The area is

A=12(43–√)(6)cm2=123–√cm2
