Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let number of Rs 5 pen = x

Let number of Rs 3 pencil = y

Acc. To Question,

x + y = 26

=> x = 26 - y-----(1)

Acc. To Question,

5x + 3y = 100-----(2)

Put (1) in (2),

5(26 - y) + 3y = 100

130 - 5y + 3y = 100

130 - 100 = 2y

2y = 30

=> y = 15

---Put y = 15 in (1)

x = 26 - 15

=> x = 11

So, Number of pens bought by man = 11

Pl mark it the brainliest answer if it helps you to get satisfaction....
