His parents were Debendranath Tagore and Sarala Devi. he was the writer,painter, singer by occupation.Rabindra Sangeet, Amar Sonar Bangla, Gitanjali and Jana Gana Mana were his notable works.He was awarded with the Nobel prize for literature in 1913. He died on 7th August,1941.
