Given that :
In the figure, ABC is a right angle triangle where,
/_C = 90°, /_B = © and /_ D = @
D is a mid point of BC So, CD = BC
Let, BC = x and AC = h
Then, BD = CD = x/2
As we know that :
tanA = Perpendicular/Base
Now, in /_\ ABC
tan© = AC/BC
=> tan© = h/x ....(1)
Again, in /_\ ACD
tan@ = AC/CD
=> tan@ = h/x/2 = 2h/x ....(2)
On dividing equation (1) by (2) :
tan©/tan@ = (h/x)/(2h/x)
=> tan©/tan@ = 1/2
HENCE PROVED ✔️
