Let the weight of the bucket be x and weight of the water required be y.

Given weight of the bucket is 15 kg, It is filled with water up to (3/5) of its capacity.

= > x + (3/5)y = 15 ----- (1)

Given that if is filled with water upto (4/5) of its capacity, its weight is 19kg.

= > x + (4/5)y = 19 ---- (2)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On solving (1) & (2), we get

= > x + (3/5)y = 15

= > x + (4/5)y = 19

-----------------------------

= > (3/5) - (4/5)y = 15 - 19

= > -(1/5)y = -4

= > -y = -20

= > y = 20.

Substitute y = 20 in (1), we get

= > x + (3/5)y = 15

= > x + (3/5) * 20 = 15

= > x + 12 = 15

= > x = 3.

Therefore, Weight of the bucket = 20 + 3

= > 23 kg.

Hope this helps!
