hello!!

Solution:

let the angles be A, B,C and D

now,

A and C are opposite and B and D are opposite..

now,

1. let angle A be x and angle C be y

x+y= 180.....(1)

also,

x-y= 40....(2)

therefore,

adding both equations,

x+y= 180

+ x-y= 40

2x = 220

therefore,

x= 220/ 2= 110

substituting the value of x in (1),

x+y= 180

110+y= 180

y= 180-110= 70

now,.

2. let angle B be x and angle D be y

x+y= 180.....( 3)

x-y= 20.....(4)

adding both the equations,

x+y= 180

+x-y= 20

2x = 200

x= 200/2= 100

substituting the value of x in (4),

x+y= 180

100+y= 180

y= 180-100

y= 80

therefore,

angle A= 110°, angle B=70°, angle C= 100° and angle D= 80°

hope this helps!!!

Answer:one opposite side angles will be 80 and 80 and the second pair will be 70 and 70

Step-by-step explanation:

as the opposite angles are suplementary so,

x+x=180

2x=180

x=180/2

x=90

As the difference is 40 so,

40/2=20

So, 90-20 will be subtracted from both sides

And similarly you have to do the second one

Caroline134: hello
Caroline134: it is not given here whether the quadrilateral is a rectangle,parallelogram or a rhombus
Caroline134: if the quadrilateral was any of these then the property that opposite angles are equal would have been applicable
Caroline134: but here it has been given that opposite angles are supplementary, meaning their sum measures upto 180°
Caroline134: so, its not necessary that opposite angles has to be equal☺☺
