now, lets calculate area of triangle = \frac{ 1}{2} × 6 × 8 = 24cm²

hence, there are two same triangles multiply the triangle area with 2 that is:

so, area of whole polygon = area of rectangle + area of triangles = 80cm² + 48cm² = 128cm²

hence, area of polygon is 128cm².
