Work of P in one day = 1/28
Work of Q in one day = 1/56
Total work of P and Q in one day
= 1/28 + 1/56 = (2+1)/56 = 3/56

7 days work of P
= 7× 1/28 = 1/4
Remaining work = 1-1/4 = 3/4
Days required for completion of work
= 3/4 ÷ 3/56
=3/4×56/3
=56÷4=14 days
And total days = 14+7 = 21

14days more are required to complete the work

Given work done by P in 1 day = (1/28).

Given work done by Q in 1-day = (1/56).

Work done by P and Q in 1 day = (1/28 + 1/56) = (2 + 1)/56 = (3/56)

So, complete work can be done in (56/3) days.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Given that P works for 7 days.

Amount of work done by P in 7 days = (1/28) * 7

= > 1/4.

Remaining work = (1 - 1/4) = 3/4

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hence,

The total work can be completed in = (3/4) * (56/3)

= 14 days.

Therefore, they will take 14 days to complete the work.

Hope this helps!
