Explanation:

(I)ans -This experiment is conducted to show that seeds respire out carbon dioxide . So, inside the air tight container KOH solñ is kept as Potassium Hydroxide absorbs Carbon dioxide .

KOH + CO2 —-> K2CO3 +H20

So , if all the CO2 will be absorbed a partial vacuum is created in the test tube . So, an equal volume of water rises up in the tube. This shows that the germinating seeds are respiring out carbon dioxide.

(2)ans-

there there is a rubber stopper has been used .so, partial vacuum due to absorption of CO2 by KOH will be created here leading to rise in water

(3)ans- it is in from of photos!!!

(4)ans-n. The chemical equation is C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O (glucose + oxygen -> carbon dioxide + water)
