The floods caused tremendous damage. The spoilt material had to be thrown  away. There was nothing left to start over. All the neighbors were trying to pitch in, the attempt was real. They were all indirectly inspiring each other, though all of them had suffered equivalent losses. The rational estimate to restore their homes was very high but they were working hard to meet the aim.
