Answer:

answer will be 9.8 m/s as per my calculations

a = -9.8 m/s^{2}

v = 0 m/s

u = 49 m/s

v = u + at

=> 0 = 49 + (-9.8t)

=> 0 - 49 = -9.8t

=> t = \frac{-49}{-9.8}

=> t = 5 sec

We have to find the value of v' 1 sec before reaching the max h

t' = 4 sec

let v' = y

u = 49 m/s

a = -9.8 m/s^2

v' = u + at

v' = 49 + (-9.8×4)

v' = 49 - 39.2

v' = -9.8

The minus sign just means that it is in opposite direction. So the answer can either be 9.8 m/s or -9.8 m/s

Please consider giving a brainliest as it took me so long to type it.
