Answer:

GIVEN:-

ADBC IS A PARALLELOGRAM

BC=12cm

AL=6.4cm

AB=18cm

NOW,

         AREA OF PARALLELOGRAM =LENGTH x HEIGHT

               ∵   AL x DC = AREA OF PARALELOGRAM          (BA=CD)

                     6.4 x18 =115.2cm²

      NOW,

                 115.2cm²=AM xBC

                   115.2cm²= AM x 12

               ∴AM = 115.2/12

THAT IS

             AM = 9.6cm

|| ★★ FORMULA USED ★★ ||

→ Opposite Sides of parallelogram are Equal in Length.

→ Area or parallelogram = Base * Height .

|| ✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰ ||

It is given that,

→ AB = 18cm.

So,

→ DC = 18cm.. ( Opposite side of AB).

Now, given ,

AL is perpendicular to DC and Equal to = 6.4cm.

So ,

Area of llgm = (18*6.4) cm² ----------- Equation (1)

Now, we have given that,

→ BC = 12cm.

Now, given ,

→ AM is perpendicular to BC.

So ,

→ Area of llgm = (12*AM) cm² ----------- Equation (2)

_____________________________

Putting value of Equation (1) in Equation (2) now, we get,

(12*AM) = (18*6.4)

Dividing both sides by 12 , we get,

AM = 9.6cm.

Hence, Length of AM will be 9.6cm.
