=> by motion equation

=> v²-u² = 2gh

=> v² = u² + 2gh

=> v² = (0)² + 2*(9.8)*(100)

=> v² = 1960

=> v = 44.2 m/s.

=> in penetration.

=> u = 44.2

=> v = 0

=> s = 2m

=> v²-u² = 2as

=> a = (v²-u²)/2s

=> a = (0 - (44.2)²)/2

=> a = -1960/2

=> a = -490 m/s²

=> v = u+at

=> t = -u/a
