same species to produce good quality planting materials. It is effective in mango plant, cashew plant,

sapota, apple etc. The rooted plant selected for grafting is called stock and the branch selected for

grafting is called scion. Cleft grafting, whip grafting and approach grafting are some common grafting

methods.
