 \sf \: \frac{y - 1}{3} - \frac{y - 2}{4} = 1 \\ \\ \sf \: = \frac{4(y - 1) - 3(y - 2)}{12} = 1 \\ \\ \sf = 4(y - 1) - 3(y - 2) = 12 \\ \\ \sf = 4y - 4 - 3y - 6 = 12 \\ \\ \sf = 4y - 3y = 12 - 6 + 4 \\ \\ \sf = y = 16 - 6 \\ \\ \sf = y = 10
