Given: 4^x-4^(x-1)
=> (4–1)*4^(x-1)
=> 3*4^(x-1)
=>3*4^(x-1)=24 (GIVEN)
=> 4^(x-1)=8
=> 2^(2*(x-1))=2^3
by equating the powers,
2x-2=3
=> 2x=5.
x=5/2=2.5
=> (4–1)*4^(x-1)
=> 3*4^(x-1)
=>3*4^(x-1)=24 (GIVEN)
=> 4^(x-1)=8
=> 2^(2*(x-1))=2^3
by equating the powers,
2x-2=3
=> 2x=5.
x=5/2=2.5
