Answer:

Given :

\textsf{An angle is 3 times its supplement}

To find :

\textsf{The angles}

Concept :

Let the angles be x .

So , it is 3 times to the supplement . So , the equation will like this -:

Supplemetary angle = 180°

\sf{\boxed{So , x+3x={180}^{\circ}}}

After find the first angle . Then , to find the second angle subtract it with 180 ° .

Solution :

\sf{\implies{x+3x={180}^{\circ}}}

\sf{\implies{4x={180}^{\circ}}}

\sf{\implies{x=\dfrac{{180}^{\circ}}{3}}}

\sf{\implies{x={45}^{\circ}}}

So , the smaller angle is 45 ° .

Larger angle :

\sf{\implies{x+{45}^{\circ}={180}^{\circ}}}

\sf{\implies{x={180}^{\circ}-{45}^{\circ}}}

\sf{\implies{x+{135}^{\circ}}}

So , the larger angle is 135 ° .

Answer :

Smaller angle = 45°

Larger angle = 135°
