I moved into a new town when my father got a new job. I was really sad to leave my beloved old town, with all of my friends and memorable moments. I joined a new school and I was feeling lonely. Going to school became a routine for me. Every day I packed my bag and went to school. I had no friends and I had no one to talk to. So I just sat there alone, and after the classes, I went back home.
One Sunday, I was sitting on my dining table doing my homework. Suddenly, I heard a scream from outside. Panic-stricken, I went outside to have a look. I realized that my neighbour's house was burning. My neighbour's were standing on their courtyard, screaming and crying. I went back inside my home and called the fire department. Within a few minutes they reached the place and started extinguishing the fire. But within that short time the fire had destroyed the top floor of the house. After a few hours the fire was completely extinguished. But the officers did not allow the family to stay inside the house because it was still dangerous. The family of four had nothing but a box of documents left. So my mother gave them a few blankets and some money. They went from the place searching for a new place to rent.
The next day, while coming back from the school it was raining heavily. But I had my trusty umbrella with me. While walking home, I heard a bark from the side of a road. I went to inspect and I saw a dog drenched in water, barking. I realized that the dog was my neighbour's. It was alone the whole night and day, having nothing to eat. I stroked the dog's fur and it became close to me very quickly. I took it home and gave it some food. My mother was first horrified when she saw the dog. But when I told her that the dog was our neighbour's she was happy.
My neighbour was going to rebuild their house. And I saw my neighbour the next day inspection the construction work. I went to him with the dog and he was so happy to get the dog back. He told me that the dog had run from their house when it caught fire. He also thanked me for rescuing their dog. The next day when I went to my school, a girl of my age came near me and thanked me for rescuing their dog. I realized she was my neighbour's daughter. And I got a new friend
