Step-by-step explanation:

(\frac{4}{7} )^{3} ÷ (\frac{7}{4} )^{5} = (\frac{4}{7} )^{x - 2}

= >(\frac{4}{7} )^{3} ÷ (\frac{4}{7} )^{-5} = (\frac{4}{7} )^{x-2}

=> (\frac{4}{7} )^{3- (-5)} = (\frac{4}{7} )^{x-2}                         [∵ a^{x} ÷ a^{y} = a^{x-y}]

=> (\frac{4}{7} )^{3+5} = (\frac{4}{7} )^{x-2}

As the bases are same therefore,

=> 3+ 5 = x - 2

=> 8 = x - 2

=> x-2 = 8

=> x = 8 + 2

=> x = 10 (Ans)
