the process by which living organism produce new again is similar to themselves is called reproduction.
reproduction is necessary because
1. it retain particular species of living organisms.
2. transmitter transmission of character from one generation to other.
3. variation lead to origin of new species.
TYPES OF REPRODUCTION
1. Asexual reproduction
- mode of reproduction in which new individual are formed from single parent is called asexual reproduction.
there are six type of asexual reproduction:-
fission
budding
regeneration
spore formation
fragmentation
vegetative propagation
2. Sexual reproduction
- mode of reproduction in which new individual are formed from two parents is called sexual reproduction.
why sexual reproduction is necessary???
- to incorporate variation in Species which in turn insured survival of species.
- Each individual in Species has its own uniqueness and identity.
