Question:-

The dimensions of a box are 22cm×11cm×3cm. It is to be covered with a brown paper. If each box requires 164cm² of more paper for folding, how much paper is required to wrap 85 such boxes ?

Answer:-

________________________________

Given:-

⇒length of the box = 22cm

⇒breath of the box = 11cm

⇒Height of the box = 3cm

Solution:-

⇒The box is covered on 3 faces, which are bottom, top and back.

➡️area of bottom = length × breath

⇒22 cm × 11cm

⇒242 cm ²

➡️area of the top = area of the bottom =242 cm²

➡️area of back = length × height

⇒22 × 3 = 66cm²

Total area = 242cm²+242cm²+66cm²+164cm² = 714 cm²

➡️area of paper required for 85 box = 714 × 85 = 60690 cm ²

➡️hence, 60690 cm ² is required to cover 85 such boxes .
