The right to information act is an important amendment in Indian constitution. There are many instances where this act has been useful.

1. As this act was there, the 2G scam was caught and brought to people's attention and the incumbents were punished.

2. During Elections, whatever voting is done it is being shown to public in general by way of media. People feel excited to notice whether their vote was helpful in selecting the right candidate or not.
