I think here it is asked to find the class interval.Mid value (x) is given to u.
As according to what is written there i think the mid values must be given as 20 then 25 and 30.. this way.
The easiest way to find the class interval is ,first you need to know the difference between the mid values .
Here the difference is 25-20 = 5
Then divide the difference by 2 i.e., 5÷2= 2.5
Now take a mid value . For example 20 as it is asked in the question.
Add 2.5 to it and subtract 2.5 from it.
Then we get 20-2.5= 17.5 , 20+2.5= 22.5
17.5 - 22.5
This is the class interval and this is what is explained in the pic.
