coal and petroleum are some of the exhaustible(non-renewable) natural resources.
These are fossil fuels- formed from the decaying of plants and animals millions of years ago.


Coal is generally used in industries to generate electricity.
Petroleum products like- bitumen are used for the tarring of roads, petrol used as fuel for many motor vehicles.
