RNA interference is a manner wherein RNA molecules inhibits the expression of a gene by way of degrading the particular mRNA.Small non-coding mRNA known as messenger RNA binds to the mRNA of a nematode and inhibits its expression. This enables in silencing unique genes in an organism. This technique can also be used to inhibit the contamination by a nematode via gene silencing.

It is used in killing worms or microbes by activating a gene-silencing mechanism that is believed to have advanced as a defense in opposition to viruses.

Hope this information gonna help you :)
