the scattering of a beam of light is called tyndall effect...
tyndall effect can also be observed when I find beam of light enters a room through a small hole...
this happens due to the scattering of light by the particles of dust and smoke in air..

example: passing of light through the canopy of forest

Tyndall effect is the scattering of light while passing through a collidal solution.eg. The light get scattered in morning while passing through gaps between the leaves.
