HOMOGENEOUS mixture is a true solution means the solute particles completely dissolve with the solvent. the particles of a homogeneous mixture is very small can can't be seen through naked eyes so it's a stable solution. and as the particles are very small, it can't be separated by filter paper. the light also can't pass though a homogeneous mixture.

whereas a HETROGENEOUS mixture is not a true solution. the particles are quite large and can be seen by naked eyes. it is not stable and a beam if light can pass through it can the path is visible. and the particles of hetrogeneous mixture settle down when it's left undisturbed for sometime.

colloids are also hetrogeneous mixture but they seem like homogeneous mixture as the particles of colloids also can't be seen by naked eyes can the particles of colloids can't be separated by filter paper.

examples of homogeneous mixture :-

sugar solution, salt solution, vinegar, lemonade etc.

examples of hetrogeneous mixture :-

chalk powder and water, milk, muddy water etc.
