let the CP of chair be x
CP of desk = x + 12% of x = x + 12x/100
taking 100 lcm (100x + 12x) /100
= 112x/100
Total CP = x + 112x/100 = 371
(100x + 112x) / 100 = 371
212x = 37100
x = 37100/212
x = 175
hence the price of chair be 175
price of table be = 371 - 175 = 196
