नियम 4 यह है कि क्या हमें 'और' से जुड़े होने पर दो या अधिक विषयों के साथ बहुवचन क्रिया का उपयोग करना होगा।

नियम 5 कभी-कभी जब क्रिया 'जैसे', 'साथ ही', 'के अलावा', 'नहीं' आदि जैसे शब्दों से अलग हो जाती है। जब विषय एकवचन हो तो उन्हें अनदेखा करें और एकवचन क्रिया का उपयोग करें

According to me ......

           In RULE 4. It is given that you must use a plural verb ( it can either in past form or present form or even future form) .....that is you can use two verbs (as given in the example car , bike ......) and join it with and.

           In RULE 5a. It is given that sometimes we will have to use the words like along with , as well as, besides, not, etc. to separate the verb from noun. These words are not a part of the subject, they are just like phrases....Do not give them much importance and jus use a singular verb if the subject is singular........
