heya friend...

reverse osmosis is a perfect match if u r looking for a good complement to Ur water supply systems...
it improves the taste , odour and other chemical properties of water.

however..
reverse osmosis also comes in the name when desalination of salty water in taking place..
basically.. reverse osmosis system has a great part in purifying and cleaning Ur water .. that u drink..
and makes it fit..

how does that take place??
it words by using a high pressure pump attached to the required system and thus . increases the pressure on the salt inside the RO purifier... leaving all the undesirable impurities aside and u get clear and fit water supply..

Deekshii1: aa how can it take place
AnviGottlieb: u want that 2?
Deekshii1: yes
Deekshii1: i didn't understand
AnviGottlieb: what?
Deekshii1: i didnt understand how can it take place sis
AnviGottlieb: see bro..a high pressure pump puts aside all the impurities and filters the water. simple!

Hey !!

If a pressure larger than the osmotic pressure is applied to the solution side, the pure solvent (or water) flows out of the solution through the semipermeable membrane. In this way the direction of osmosis is reversed and so the process is called ''REVERSE OSMOSIS''

Thus, we can say that reverse osmosis is just opposite to the osmosis when an extra pressure is applied. Reverse osmosis is used in desalination to get pure water from sea water.

Hope it helps you !!
