hello mate here is your answer..
x = a sin wt....eq 1
sin wt = x/a
y= b cos wt
cos wt = y/b.....eq 2
square both equation and then add them
u will have
sin^2 wt + cos^2 wt = x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2
x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2 =1
this is the formula of elliptical path..
so we can say this is a elliptical path..
