Chatelier's principle or "The Equilibrium Law", can be used to predict the effect of a change in conditions on a chemical equilibrium.
When any system at equilibrium is subjected to change in concentrationtemperaturevolume, or pressure, then the system readjusts itself to counteract (partially) the effect of the applied change and a new equilibrium is established.

WHEN THE CONCENTRATION, PRESSURE OR TEMPERATURE OF A SYSTEM AT EQUILIBRIUM IS CHANGED, THE SYSTEM WILL READJUST ITSELF SO AS TO NULLIFY THE EFFECT OF THAT CHANGE AND ATTAIN A NEW STATE OF EQUILIBRIUM.
