by using camouflage animals try to mix in their surroundings ..you must have noticed that most of the animals have similar skin color,structure or pattern resembling their surroundings it helps them to hide from their predators as they easily get mixed in surroundings and predators cannot find them..it is equally beneficial for preying animals as they can hide and prey and they prey cannot easily recognise them...here the example is given of tiger with black strips which they use ad a camouflage .tigers easily camouflage in their surroundings using those strips as they are often found in dense forest and those strips help them in hiding in bushes to prey on animals

Camouflage is the use of any combination of materials, coloration, or illumination for concealment, either by making animals or objects hard to see, or by disguising them as something else. Examples include the leopard's spotted coat, the battledress of a modern soldier, and the leaf-mimic katydid's wings.
